Quality Help Community - Overview

The Quality Help Community is a collaborative network of IT professionals with an interest in Quality Management and Quality Assurance based solutions in the IT industry. With collective participation, we hope to demystify Quality Management and it's effective application within the IT services and support industries.

Our Vision at QualityHelp is to guide IT support folk in the principles and value of quality management through team involvement and sharing.

We don't profess to be experts nor authorities on any of the Quality Management methodologies and tools that are promoted or referred to in this sites contents, but rather a discussion site and portal to the many useful sites on Quality Management and related tools and training.

Our fundamental objectives are to promote, support and debate the various quality standards, methodologies and tools available for setting up rigorous and effective Quality Management Systems in IT (See our Mission and Objectives for more).

This is a non-commercial site developed by, and for technical support staff and managers with an interest in sharing and supporting work experiences based on quality management principles and techniques. We have to start somewhere (with a simple baseline), and you should expect this site to mature and improve over time, by self application of the principles of Continual Improvement and the quality practices we are advocating or exploring.

Quality "best practices" applied in one organisation might not necessarily work well in another, and in some cases may be ineffective or detrimental to improvement. Planning a quality system implementation needs to consider the size of the organisation.

Our Vision here at QualityHelp is to help IT folk understand the principles and value of quality management through team involvement and sharing.  With that said, our community will undertake a number of small to medium "business" projects over time, to extend our knowledge and generate value to our members and others.

We will enact our vision over time through development of several key support sites:

The QualityHelp Community site:      Focusing on topics of Quality Management for IT, Business and Process Improvement and Web based support tools.

The QualityHelp Desktop Support:    Exploring and developing a community of computer technicians (Desktop / PC Support), with an interest in quality as well as pooling and networking their skills and knowledge.

The QualityHelp Helpdesk Support:    Exploring and developing a community of computer technicians (Call Centres and remote PC support), with an interest in quality as well as pooling and networking their skills and knowledge.

The QualityHelp Server Support:    Exploring and developing a community of computer technicians (Server Management), with an interest in quality as well as pooling and networking their skills and knowledge.

Depending on member and community interest, we will look to add a QualityHelp Helpdesk site, and possibly a site for IT Quality Analysts.  The fastest way to view our projects that are in progress or planned, is go to the Project Register on the Navigation Panel (on the Home Page).
